I’m in Thailand as you receive this… my first time back to the country since I spent 3 months here and in Vietnam WAY back in 1999 as a girl assisting in orphanages, hospitals and slums around both countries. It changed my life.
Immediately hit by the unique and intense smells, heat and smog of Thailand, it feels crazy and good to be back after all these years. Their cuisine is a vibrant, spicy gift to the world. In this “Land of Smiles”, I’m reminded again of that warm and wonderful welcome of Thai people.
I’ll back home to visiting family for Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving, all. There are many terrifying trials we face in the world right now, but at the same time, oh-so much to be grateful for.
