7 Sunny Brunch Spots

Brunch is one of the weekend’s most sacred rituals. Here are seven notable brunch experiences, from retro 1970s diner to modern Indian or Peruvian (my last brunch feature here). As always, I’ve personally vetted and visited each:

Retro 70s-Style Diner: Goldenette, Nob Hill
Sad as I was to see Mission burger joint WesBurger close last year, I am grateful Wes Rowe is back with Eddie Naser (owner of Toast Eatery) in Goldenette, a retro all-day, breakfast-y diner that opened on Polk Street February 16, 2026. The David Marks Design-ed space glimmers in gold and pink with old school floor tiling and a 1970’s vibe that’s fully “my jam,” down to rosy pink bathroom walls with sparkly gold flooring.
